Designed and developed by a former Lockheed Aerospace Engineer, the SpeedyLink was born from a desire to make the Club Car Precedent more useful for "off the Links" driving, for around town touring. With the improved comfort that Club Car has already employed in the Precedent, increasing the cruising speed is a no brainer. The Speedylink improves the top speed performance of the digitally controlled vehicle, which is intentionally de-tuned by the factory for liability reasons. The 48 volt Precedent design is fully capable of higher speeds than that programmed at the factory. The SpeedyLink microcontroller digitally compensates for the de-tuning. When installed, the SpeedyLink acts like an “overdrive” for increased top end. When installed on a completely stock cart, an increase of up to 50% has been documented and can exceed 20 mph in some cases, depending upon the factory speed programming level (usually set to 12.5 mph). The SpeedyLink augments the factory speed setting already programmed to give you an "overdrive" mode. The installation can be performed by just about anyone, by simply plugging in a couple of connections. It is totally a Plug-n-Play system. The unit can be installed in less than 5 minutes by most cart owners. Easy to follow instructions are included.
